Meet Håkan Sundström Executive & Performance Coach

Hi, I’m Håkan. I grew up outside Stockholm, always chasing the next challenge. That drive took me from Vienna and London to Hong Kong, and from New York to Tokyo, leading teams from five people to over 450 across industries.

Over the years, I learned that leadership isn’t about knowing everything. It’s about asking better questions, trusting yourself, and building teams where people can do their best work.

I’ve seen both sides of success, the wins that scale companies and the missteps that teach humility. What stayed constant is this: authentic leadership doesn’t come from perfection, but from ownership, courage, and trust.

That’s why I created PACE, a framework that helps leaders own themselves, trust themselves, take courageous action, and empower others..

Why do I coach?

For a long time, I felt like the odd one out. Even when things looked successful on paper, I often felt like I was living someone else’s life, achieving what I thought I wanted but quietly asking myself, “Who am I really doing this for?”

That question changed everything. Working with my first coach helped me trust my instincts over expectations and quiet the inner critic that kept me playing small.

Most importantly, I realised that what made me different wasn’t what held me back; it was my strength.

Since then, I’ve helped accomplished leaders uncover the same realisation. They don’t stall because they lack ability; they stall because they’re trying to be someone they’re not. The cost isn’t just exhaustion; it’s the impact they could have had but didn’t.
